Why AWARE Cards?

Born from lived experience and grounded in research, AWARE Cards are designed to help you move through life with purpose. They invite you to use walking as a powerful tool for self-connection — tuning out the noise of podcasts, music, or the unhelpful inner critic, and tuning in to your own insight and truth.

How It Works:

Each of the 35 cards have a different AWARE content.

Using your AWARE Cards is simple, yet powerful:

Breathe – Take a moment to ground yourself with a deep breath.

Choose a Card – Select one intuitively from the deck.

Attend – Read the front: a gentle mantra or meditation to centre your awareness. Flip the card over

Wisdom – Read the inspiring quote that sets a theme or focus.

Action – Try the suggested practices while walking or engaging in movement.

Reflect – Consider the guiding questions that align your actions with your inner truth.

Expand – Explore what your insights might mean for your life, choices, and direction.

A Message from Dr Jo

Hi, I am Dr Jo, PhD in Mindful Leadership, an executive coach, professional educator, solo adventurer and founder of the AWARE Methodology ©.

These cards were born from my own journey – created as a personal compass during challenging times, helping me focus on what matters most and to keep moving forward.

They’ve accompanied me on over 1,650km across Spain’s legendary Camino routes, and soon, they’ll join me on the 740km via Podiensis in France.
